Mac Tips
Alltop.com - A web site by Guy Kawasaki, Mac Evangelist, that acquires the "best of" information on a variety of topics. http://mac.alltop.com/ and http://genealogy.alltop.com/ are great examples. Pick any topic from the alphabetized list and prepare to be "informatized".
Macgenealogist.com - This is a repeat, but it is worth it. Probably the best collection of Macintosh Genealogy information on the Web. Ben Sayer also produces a host of Screencasts that are VERY useful.
Familygraphics.com - A terrific site, I am told, to get large format charts printed. For smaller charts it costs about $3/square foot. Very helpful too.
Vital Records
Marge Bell of the Oakland Regional Family History Center gave a very nice talk on the different kinds of Vital Records (birth, marriage, death) there are and what to look out for. The Oakland Family History Center has many free classes covering this topic and many more. Most are free of charge, or with a small fee for materials. Please see Handout 1 and Handout 2 that Marge provided at the meeting.
Entering Vital Records in Reunion
We also looked at how entries from Elizabeth Shown Mills' book might be entered into Rreunion.
